Through hard work and experience M & M Moving has been identified as the best local mover in the G.T.A by Royal LePage Canada (year 2003-2004) and today is a preferred mover for the Sutton Group and numerous real estate agents and companies. Real estate companies have conducted surveys to monitor our quality and.the results have been amazing (most movers have never had independent surveys done). In the last 154 surveys by Royal LePage (year 2003-2004) we only had one claim of $295 in damages. More people rated our overall service as excellent when given the choices of 1) Excellent, 2) Good, 3) Satisfactory, 4) Poor or 5) Unacceptable. We believe no major van line is performing at this high rating.

Why is our system so highly rated? Most movers in today's market claim to be good movers yet overall our industry has a high complaint rate because its very easy for anyone to enter the industry and numerous movers are not as good or ethical as they appear. The owner (Brent Routley) comes from a family that is famous for humanitarian work (see below) and truly appreciates the great men that work for him. M & M Moving is run like a family with respect to our movers and our customers. During Brent's University days he did try some moving without success - it was way too difficult for him and any man that can move furniture for a living has a special talent and should he treated with respect. Our men are trained for house moves and are use to long days when required (95% of our moves are local house moves). In addition, doing moves for real estate companies and agents requires special attention since we are expected to perform at a level much higher than average - and we take pride in doing so! We have two locations from which to dispatch trucks and we have extra staff and a foreman for every move. We offer free boxes for all our customers and have one central number for all of our customers.

M & M Moving does advertise in some directories. We use to spend around $40,000 a year in the early 90's but now we rely on repeats, referrals and business from the MLS listings - this saves costs for our customers.

Brent attended the University of Manitoba (Science) for 5 years and in 1990 bought M & M Moving from his brother. Brent is married, has 2 adorable children and is very much involved in the local and international community. He is the founder of smoothlivingworld.com, a company for 3rd world children, and is also a volunteer for World Vision. Brent's dad is Dr. Keith Routley, founder of Mabel's Free Clinic in Mexico (the only totally free clinic in Mexico for children). The clinic also offers education and housing for poor Mexican families. Brent's Grandfather is also well known for his humanitarian work - his name is Frank D. Smith and he is in the hockey hall of fame builders category. In 1911 he founded and ran the worlds largest and at the time greatest athletic organization in the world called the THL, MTHL, now called the GTHL. He ran the league for over 50 years and created almost all the divisions that are universally accepted in amateur hockey today (i.e. Bantam, Midget, Pee-Wee and others). His main goal back in 1911 was to get boys off the streets and into a structured-environment (it seems to have worked). As you can see, true humanitarian work runs in the family. Brent is a racquets enthusiast (no hockey!) and is a former provincial Badminton Champion, Squash Champion and Tennis Champion. He has been a member of the Mayfair Racquets Club since 1992 and club Delta Meadowvale on and off for the past 3 years. Brent enjoys life, meeting people and giving back when possible.
